CoreInductions
Six projects. Two verticals. One standard: independent thinking, backed by evidence. This is where SoFI finds the analysts and builders who’ll carry the desk forward.
Two desks, one bar
SoFI Core Inductions are project-based: you learn by producing real work, then defend it in an interview. Every applicant builds a baseline across both Equity and Algo, then goes deep on the vertical they choose.
We have no interest in polish over substance. A well-reasoned, evidence-backed thesis or a genuinely useful piece of software will always outweigh a beautifully formatted but hollow one.
Equity Research
Build an independent, forward-looking investment thesis on a listed Indian company — from stock screening to valuation.

Which vertical should I choose?
Equity Research suits applicants drawn to company analysis, valuation, and investment theses. Algo Labs suits applicants who want to build data pipelines, dashboards, and trading logic. Both verticals require some baseline work in the other.
Can I use AI for my submissions?
AI may assist with research collection and presentation. Original thinking — the investment thesis itself, risk analysis, valuation judgment, and code you write — must be yours. Each project page states its exact policy; AI-generated theses receive zero tolerance.
Can I attempt more than the minimum projects?
Yes. The minimums exist so applicants aren't penalized for depth over breadth, but you're welcome to do more as long as quality doesn't suffer.
Is there room for late submissions?
The 25 July deadline is strict. Extensions are only considered for exceptional, evidenced technical issues — keep backups of your work.
